From a die-hard TakePhone user, me:
I've not tried it specifically, but TakePhone can be registered as a
helper app (under Prefs|Misc select Register as a "Helper" application)
and you canswipe a number in, say, calendar or memo, hit the phone
button and dial the number -- for making new calls.
It would be worth trying it to see whether it worked as he wants when
one already is in a call. I've never tried that, since my only needs
have been to send specific strings of numbers unique to each place I'm
calling, e.g. my work mailbox and password, and TakePhone lets me assign
those strings with pauses when I enter the number in either Contacts or
the Speed Dial.
Sure seems it would be worth a try, tho, if he's got a list of functions
to invoke on a single call. It just occured to me TakePhone has a
separate facility for working with calling card info
(Prefs|Telephony|Use calling-card/s); maybe Ralph's desire could be
handled there.
