Roger, forget future UMTS/HSDPA dreams for a moment and focus on present
reality. Comparing AT+T/EDGE to Sprint/EVDO +today+ means looking at a huge
SPEED difference.

Whether you focus on phones or plans is semantic, b/c we all use Treos here and
the carriers' plan (i.e. wireless protocol) isn't negotiable.

Main point, stated earlier -- when comparing EDGE/EVDO, look past the dollars
to see the dialup/DSL performance diff.

And UMTS/HSDPA does up to 3.6Mb/s. Please read BOTH sentences.
