Heard about this some time ago but never tested it. This wild. The kids can heard it from any level 1% to 100%. My wife can hear too (10 years younger). I can only hear it next to my ear at 100% and it is a brain splitting whine that I can feel too. The and all the neighbor kids and young adults can hear it a few houses away.

Must be one of those ring tones I've heard the kids use for use in school - allegedly it's so high pitched that the average teacher can't hear it. Humans tend to lose frequency response in hearing as we get older.
