My 12 yr old can hear it on the PC stereo speakers, but he hears nothing when I play it on my 700p. I guess the 700p's speaker can't reproduce that tone. George -----Original Message----- From: 'Craig Froehle' <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Yep, this was all over the tubes about a year ago or so -- schoolkids using the 17kHz ringtone that they could hear but their aging teachers could not. Plus, since high freqs don't carry as well as low freqs, they would be less audible across a room than would something maybe in the 1kHz range. I can hear it, but I also wonder if I'm actually hearing _it_ or just parts of my Treo vibrating at lower freqs. It's piss-ass annoying, whatever it is I'm hearing when I play it. :-) Messages in this topic (0) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic Messages | Files | Photos | Links | Database | Polls |
