I have a white unlocked 680...no problems at all. Any resets I've had have been due to various software like SkinUI, PhoneTechnician, and FontSmoother.
As for a case, I would love to find a new white one as mine has a crack (I dropped it a week after they first came out) but I've only seen grey cases.
