I just bought a 750. My company requires the WinMob security pack in order to access Exchange, which forced me to move from PalmOS. I asked some of our corporate mobility gurus which phones they used, and they recommended the Treo 750 over the 8525.
The today screen isn't too bad, and it's kind of nice to have IE running in the background. I tried spb diary, but it slowed down the today screen so much I moved back to the default. I can't believe is how slow WinMob is. I migrated 10 years of tasks and notes from my 650 to the 750, and promptly had to eliminate all old, completed tasks. I'm having to kill off my notes as well (or maybe migrate some of them to Word files), both for access speed and simply to be able to find the ones I really need (the interfaces for notes and tasks are considerably less efficient). I'm down to a 3 month in calendar data as well. 240*240 is a bit of a problem, but I have to admit that I have been using fewer and fewer custom apps over the years. When are the 320*320 devices supposed to be out? The Windows Mobile 6 upgrade is imminent, but I haven't heard anything about a model with a screen upgrade.
