I have had several phones where the battery lasts about a year after which
either it, or the phone, has been replaced. So a 1 year life on a battery
would seem correct to me. To make a permanent, non-replaceable, battery is not
only unreasonable it is STUPID and I always thought Apple was anything but
stupid. But then, I suppose they figure if the battery dies people will just
buy a new unit instead of trying to figure out how to replace the battery.

The iPhone will never be an option for us as long as it is only on AT&T. I am
not switching from Verizon without some compelling reason. I have too much
invested there at the moment.
