Yes, the 4Gb iPhone is being phased out. Finished. And for those thinking that the price cuts have to do with bad sales, iPhone sales topped ALL OTHER Smartphone sales *COMBINED*. Yep, all Nokia Symbian, all Windows Mobile, all Treo devices, TOGETHER. 1.8% of total *PHONE* sales *alone*.
So Apple is just making sure they rule the (smartphone) world faster. :-) I would buy one, if it had support for third-party applications. That's probably what the iPhone 2.0 will offer. Much like I had to wait 3 versions of the iPod Video to finally have what i wanted (a full-screen video iPod). The iPod touch is very tempting, but I > can't replace my current almost-full 60GB iPod with something with 1/4 > or less the storage space. If Apple comes out with a 60GB (or better > yet 160GB) iPod touch, it'll be awfully hard to resist, even at a pretty > outlandish price!
