If it's going to happen while you're asleep, does it really matter how long it takes? Mine take ~7 minutes to back up 384 files / 25.3MB. It's set to compute CRC (so Winzip on my desktop can open them if necessary) and "fastest" compression. It's also set to clear the dbcache when done, which itself takes a couple minutes. Note that this is on a 680, and I'm backing up to a PNY 2GB SD card.
