So why not buy a 680 replacement Treo with the 500v hardware specs.

Granted, but 500v is a LOT THINNER then let's say a 680. It is even thinner
 then Centro when looking at the spec sheet.

 But I would never trade my 680 for a 500v (limited experience after only 2
 days of usage)
