Actually, it says Snappermail is not "officially" supported. either:

"Wireless Devices

    * iPhone
    * Blackberry, Symbian, Windows Mobile, and SnapperMail aren't
officially supported at this time. 

* Palm handheld users: please note that Gmail IMAP access is not
currently compatible with VersaMail."

No mention of other Palm apps, like ChatterEmail, though.
