I'm using the BlueAnt V12 Bluetooth headset. I'm also on AT&T service.

And I hope I didn't confuse anyone with my old radio jargon:
Simplex = only one person talks at a time
Duplex = both of us get to talk (which is the way most telephones work)

So now I've got a couple of things to try: incoming vs outgoing calls,
and with and without Bluetooth (and if I still have one lying around,
try a wired headset).
It's likely to be evening before I can put the time into it, but thanks
for the suggestions.
What's amazing is I -- so far -- seem to be the only user having the
problem. H-m-m-m-m-mmmm.
