I'm not the person who said that, but I remember agreeing when I read
it, I suspect the meaning -- at least the meaning I read -- was if there
is an error, and you run a backup or regularly store a program's data --
Chatteremail's messages, for instance, to the SD -- you've stored the error.
If you later format your Treo, you get rid of any errors -- until you
restore from the card, when you restore not only the saved data but any
errors it contained.
