If you use KeyContacts, or something else that uses its own database, you will no longer be able to maintain/sync the data with the standard conduits, or use Palm Desktop for your computer-side use. On the other hand, there are lots of replacement programs out there that will use the built-in database but present it differently. Each has their own style. In the past, I've used TealPhone. I now use TakePhone.
