Interested in changing the database. Beyond contacts is the preference. I sync with outlook. do I need to install beyond contacts in device or memory card? Also how would chatter behave! now it scans for emails from default database. Would it scan beyond contacts? Is it advisable to do that?

If you use KeyContacts, or something else that uses its own database, you will no longer be able to maintain/sync the data with the standard conduits, or use Palm Desktop for your computer-side use. On the other hand, there are lots of replacement programs out there that will use the built-in database but present it differently. Each has their own style. In the past, I've used TealPhone. I now use TakePhone.
