I have a big need for WiFi in ONE specific situation. 3 - 4 times a
year we vacation down at the beach at Mexico's Sea of Cortez. There is
no Verizon EVDO down there, and in fact most of the time my Treo can't
even get a cell phone signal there (although my wife's AT&T phone works
great). But there is WiFi all over the place down there, so if the Treo
could do WiFi I'd at least be able to check my email and surf the web.
It's really embarassing that my son gets on the Internet and checks his
mail using a Sony PSP "toy", but my expensive high-tech professional
business-oriented Treo communications device becomes just a plain ol'
PDA in Mexico.
