Thanks for the answers. I wondered, since most of the WiFi comments til 
now seemed to be of two varieties: lack of it will kill Palm, or what 
it's unnecessary. So thanks for those who want it saying why.
    Since I have my laptop on most trips, I've never had the 
connectivity problem -- but I've never been to Mexico, either.
    Now I'm wondering whether I'd get any value from VNC. I tried it a 
couple years ago and wasn't successful getting it to work. Maybe I 
should study a little more.
