Well, the rep was right in a sense. But I do know, that whenever I
upgrade any of my users from a Non EVDO device, to a new EVDO device,
they DO have to switch Vision plans. The price, etc, is the same. I
have asked about it, it's really just a billing thing and sku number.
Your IP, Vision Name, and Vision password do not change, etc.

The first thing I would do:

1. Re-provision the data portion on your phone. This will erase all
your network profiles and overwrite them with new ones. Do this by
logging into your online account, and changing your Vision Password. If
you are in vision coverage, this will trigger your phone to download the
new settings. Just press OK on the phone and wait. It's all automatic.

2. Bring the device into a Sprint store and have them run their
diagnostics test on it. This will test the radio. It's a pass fail
test. If it fails and the device is still under warrenty, or you have
ESRP, they will give you a new one.

the rep was right, or at least I think he was. Do you know if you get an
EVDO signal? Isn't there an icon that tells you if your signal is EVDO?
I can't remember right now as I switched to a 700wx several months ago,
but in any case, after I "upgraded" to the new Sprint firmware version,
my connectivity got increasingly erratic. I could no longer use Chatter
in push mode, and even turning it to pull mode I continued to have
problems with the phone hanging and rebooting way more than it did
before the update. That's actually what caused me to switch to the
700wx, which I've had no problems with since. I suppose I could have
switched to a 755p at the time, but I chose to use the opportunity to
try something new (WM) and it worked out. In any case, I'm guessing it
has to do with the update. I had them troubleshoot my connectivity
issues ad infinitum and finally after getting a refurb from Palm with
the same firmware and
experiencing the exact same issues, I determined it was the firmware. My
recommendation would be to sell the phone and by a 755p or a Centro if
you want to stick with the PalmOS, since these newer phones don't seem
to have the same issue...
