Yep...Sam spake the truth. Since getting my 700p (which acts this way), I've been frequently annoyed at my wife's 650 for blinking for what I now consider no apparent purpose. I mean, can you imagine if, say, your space heater beeped every 5 seconds just to make sure you realized it was working? ;-)
