Hah!  Yeah, I remember when I first got the Treos, it was the first
setting I looked for - how to disable the strobe light that made my
bedroom look like a rave party during the middle of the night ;)

 

PS - you can disable it on T650's.  There might be on option under phone
prefs.  Can't remember if it is dependent on the hardware revision A or
B, or the level of firmware...

Yep...Sam spake the truth. Since getting my 700p (which acts this
way), I've been frequently annoyed at my wife's 650 for blinking for
what I now consider no apparent purpose. I mean, can you imagine if,
say, your space heater beeped every 5 seconds just to make sure you
realized it was working? ;-)
