Alli - Latest hotsync with desktop overwriting all main PIM databases also produced survivable reset. #*#ERR reveals "Emul68KCommon.c" error. That was same error as this morning, but with a different line and address pointed out.
I turned off BackupBuddy and all other conduits except the main ones and re-synched. The Treo came out fine. Then I turned on Splash ID, Avantgo, then Vindigo (keeping BackupBuddy off) and four hotsyncs later, no crashes. I turned BackupBuddy back on, went into the file list and specifically excluded a bunch of files which don't need to be backed up, including HSTrace (even though that had been shut off on the Treo) and ran a 5th hotsync. The unit did not reset. My guess is that BackupBuddy had issues. I note that you have to turn on Bluetooth Hotsync in order for it to sync with Treo 755p's. That's a known issue. There must be others. Harold --- In [email protected], "Harold M. Goldner" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Alli - > > Yep, I reviewed all those threads. I really do not want to do a hard reset. Since my 'valid' data is always in TimeMatters, which is SQL-based on the desktop, next sync I'm going to let desktop overwrite handheld for the main 4 PIM databases and see what happens at the end of the sync. > > I had run Teal's beta app and got some issues, but DbFixit didn't pick those up, and I'll take a mature licensed app over a beta one any day of the week if I have to bet on one of them or the other. > > If that clears up the reset after hotsync, maybe I'll reinstall 12.05. I had been running 12.04 Premium (although I hate and avoid Agendus Mail --- funny that others here really like it. I found it also unstable.) I have had only one reset when running 11.1 Pro over the last week or so. > > Harold > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Alli > To: [email protected] > Sent: 2/25/2008 2:47PM > Subject: Re: [Treo] Resets after Hotsyncing 755p; 'hanging' resets > > > It's a start.... The good news is that the reset doesn't hang. Interestingly, Hotsync did NOT give me an error warning for the first time either. > > > > One step at a time.... > > > > BTW, if you know how to troubleshoot Agendus 12.5 on a Treo, I'd love to know. I've had issues with Agendus versions after 10 on my Treo and my T|X before that, and don't get me wrong, I've been an Agendus user since it was ActionNames and running on my Palm III. It was pretty much my first third party application because of the ability to link contacts with the other databases. > > > > Harold > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] >
