That's strange. I have only had (hand me down from my kids) mini and shuffles. The mini's OS takes up a tiny amount of disk space. I can put 3.8 GB of musin on its 4 GB HD. (The OS, takes up no space on the shuffle's memory. I get the advertised 512 kb for music. Are you saying the the OS on your iPod takes up 60 GB?
