Yep...Backup Man, which seems to end its backup each night with a reset 
(has done that for months, if not > a year).  Likely a cause, if not *the* 
cause.

Yeah, good advice...I keep an eye on my file sizes pretty habitually (a 
year spent with a 600 makes for some bad habits) and there's nothing outta 
whack there.
