This is the kind of note that's fun to write. I just got done with two
days of tinkering with Bryan Nystrom, of Natara Software. The message I
sent at 1130 June 2 was:
<snip>

I have had to reformat my HDD and reinstall all my software. Now when I
hotsync with my Treo680, the Comet call log updates on the desktop, but
notes which appear on the Treo do not appear on the desktop.
Have I missed something?

<snip>

In less than two hours, I had the first response. Over several more
messages, wherein he gave instructions, asked for copies of a couple of
my relevant files, built a new beta build, and finally fixed the
problem. I'm not a programmer, so I probably wouldn't understand if he
explained, but suffice to say it works. All the notes my Treo shows now
also are on the desktop.

My weekly newspaper column this week is going to talk about outsourcing
customer service and how my favorite computer name has pretty much gone
in the hopper because of it.
I think I'll add this transaction to the column as an example of what
can happen when the company policy is customer service.
So thanks, Bryan.
