Two pieces of evidence, counselor: 1. Apple has been soundly booed, but hasn't budged. I think it is realted to DRM, the iTunes Music and Apps stores, and their "control of the user experience" 2. I spent a lot of time confused on one Palm list or another some years back when people discussed BackupBuddy and utilities for mounting the removable memory as mass storage. I had a Clié at the time and couldn't understand why people would buy something that was already in ROM. Then I realized that in Palm products, it wasn't. If I was a betting man, I'd bet a Pre — if it comes with removeable memory, I buy you one. If it doesn't, you buy me one. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
