I'm feeling the same way - my Sprint store opens at 8am and I'll be there a little ahead of that.
Local Best Buy said they only have "a couple" of Pre's. Local Radio Shack said something like "Huh?" when I called. I don't have the heart to call WalMart right now, but may call them tomorrow. I'm counting on the local Sprint store. Could be a very fun Saturday. Or, if no Pre fun, I might have to drink heavily! And read more Pre reviews. Or maybe the user guide. Now what? FYI, I stopped by the Sprint store on 18th Street (after, as advertised, they don't EVER answer the phone). They have paper signs on the door that say they're closing 2 hours early on Friday, and opening an hour early on Saturday -- at 8 am. I went in and saw some Pre signage, and asked a very helpful guy about reserving one (no, sorry) and how many they had on hand. "A lot," he tells me. "More than... ten?" I ask. "Oh yeah, a lot more than that," he says, then pauses. "Well, we don't have any right now, but we'll have them on Saturday!" :\ And so I will be there very early on Saturday, even though I'm setting myself up for a broken heart, I just know it. --- In [email protected] <mailto:treo%40yahoogroups.com> , "marechaux1757" <marechaux1...@...> wrote: > > I'm in DC, and am evaluating options. > > I've bought my last three Treo's from the Palm site and had them delivered in a few days.
