Granted, that could get annoying, but it's better than them not working at all (as in days past). No Wi-Fi, a lower-res camera (2MP vs 3 on the Pre), and no "button" seem to be the only other trade-offs. Same size battery as the Pre, suggesting it should get better battery life (due to smaller, lower-res screen and no Wi-Fi). Ah, trade-offs.
