Still no joy.  Uninstalled everything.  Installed the Beta.  Still all I get
is the movie.  Weirdly, the movie appears only in part of the window that
opens.  The rest of the window is transparent and shows whatever is behind
the window.

 

Beta, I guess.

Very odd. I've now installed the beta at home and at school, and it 
works - although I had to sync 4-5 times before I got a successful sync.
