Your local Sprint store has both the Pre and the Pixi available for playing with, and I've actually found their in-store reps to be mostly pretty knowledgeable. One guy at the store near my house knew more about the homebrew scene than I did...turns out he's a developer, too. :-) So, you might want to check that out. Or, wait until 1/25 and go visit a Verizon store to see the Pre+ & Pixi+. Calendaring is great -- integrates seamlessly with Google and Exchange. Evernote...see above. You can sync to Exchange (Outlook = your desktop access) and Google (and Google Desktop gives you offline access), so I think you're good to go. The Pre syncs changes pretty instantly, or every so often, depending on your settings. I've not had any trouble getting online (Google and Exchange) to reflect my Pre, and vice versa, within 60 seconds or so after making a change. HTH.
