Try these things and see if each fixes it before trying the next:
1) Put it into airplane mode, wait a minute, and then take it out of
airplane mode.
2) Reset the phone (can't hurt, right?)
3) Open the Mail app and delete that account. Then re-add it and wait
for stuff to sync down.
