I've loaded up the 5x4 option twice and noticed significant lagginess in the launcher both times. Scrolling through launcher pages, both up/down and left/right (B-A-Start! ;-) seems to stutter, something I don't experience without the patch. So I'm making do without, but I so wish I could see more icons per screen than the stock 3x3.
