Some issues that have me contemplating an Evo as well:
- My Pre is slow, even w/ the 800 MHz patch
- My Pre is unreliable -- just this morning, it reset itself when I removed it
from the charger
- My Pre constantly requires me to log into Google or unlock my acct.
- My Pre can't play most of the video content in my collection (mostly Xvid)
- My Pre's calendar is pathetic
- My Pre doesn't do threaded email like Gmail does
- My Pre isn't supported by several services I like, e.g., Skype
- My Pre has a lower res screen than I'd prefer

That said, I think I'd miss some things about webOS.  If Palm had
announced it's intention to launch something like the Incredible running webOS,
I might not even consider leaving. But they haven't.

Other than the physical size, the EVO is quite impressive. Assuming it does
these tasks effectively, I MIGHT consider it... just weighing my options.
Other than the release of occasional patches, I find the Pre to be a bit
boring. Palm never quite gets it right with their updates. I'm wondering if
the grass is greener on the other side.
