My biggest issues with the Pre are: #1: responsiveness (having to wait for it to do things is quite annoying) #2: battery life #3: General lack of UI stuff (like being able to select multiple items, have apps talk to one another, having certain services -eg GPS - run when the screen is off, etc.
The EVO's hardware is great, it has two cameras, a much faster processor, more memory plus you can add a microSD for at least 32GB of additional storage, etc. I'm still committed to WebOS, but it's hard to see this very superior hardware out there for other platforms. Palm is supposed to be coming out with some new stuff this year, but I'm not sure when, and I'm not sure whether it will be available on all carriers. Throwing HP into the mix, I just wonder if this will delay things because HP will want to recreate a new phone or line of phones from scratch. We'll see, but I think Palm has another year (for me that is) to come up with new improved hardware. After that I'm afraid I'm going to be too tired of this phone, and it will seem even more slow compared to what will surely be coming out in the next 12 months...
