What do you mean "without crossing back over to one another"?

The Pre takes whatever contacts you have from whatever source (exchange,
google, facebook, etc.) and does its best to merge them when it seems names
that match so you just get one contact record on the Pre. The only
management I've had to do is when it uses one of the accounts as the primary
one which doesn't have a picture, so I'll just go in and tell it, no use the
facebook account for the main one. The other place where you might need
some maintenance is with instant messaging, since these aren't always linked
to an email address. But it almost doesn't matter. All it lets you do is
IM someone quickly by clicking in their contact record. If you don't use IM
a lot it doesn't matter.
