Can you get your Pre to connect with your Exchange server? If so you have no need to synch Exchange to Google at all. You just connect your Pre to Exchange for business stuff and to Google for personal stuff.
My company has extremely tight security so that I cannot get my Pre to connect with Exchange. Because of this I have my contacts in Google GMail and I use google sync to put my business calendar up to Google calendar. I then sync my Pre to Google for contacts and calendar. I have it connected with my Comcast email account for email and to my GMail account (even though I don't get mail on GMail). So, if you can get your Pre to connect with Exchange you are in great shape to have a business/personal split very easily. If you have any problems then contact Palm - for Verizon (and everyone else?) they give 90 days support free of charge. In my ideal world, I'd like to use Outlook on my desktop for everything, have it sync to Google to transfer all personal settings to the Pre and have it hooked to my Exchange server at work for my professional information. It looks like Companion link might be my best bet to get a sync to Google. Then, I have to figure out How to keep Exchange and Google separate in Outlook. I think it's capable.
