Well, for some reason mine don't always work.  I used to be able to hold
down one key for a few seconds and it would dial one of my speed dials.  Now
at most it just brings up a universal search with the sped dial number
there, but sometimes not even that.  Much easier to deal with app icons on
your screen with others, as with Launchpoint...
