HI Jean - Haven't used palm in a while but when I got this message the bluetooth on my treo was turned off. Usually by a reset. I know that you said that the Centro can see the laptop and the laptop can see the Centro so I am probably way off but check and make sure bluetooth is turned on in your preferences. HTH Sue
I'm trying to get my Centro to hotsync with Palm desktop on Windows 7. I've been told that it has to be via bluetooth. I have Palm dsktop 6.2.2 My laptop can see the Centro and the Centro can see the laptop via bluetooth. The Centro bluetooth asks me to set up a virtual serial Com port on the laptop which I believe I have done (COM6). I have set it as an Incoming port. In Hotsync settings on the laptop, I have ticked Bluetooth and Serial on the Connections tab. When I initiate the Hotsync, it says "Connecting with the desktop using JeanTosh (my laptop) then fails with "Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application". Any ideas???? Palm support doesn't seem to cover Windows 7. http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/49229_en.html I imagine someone out there has successfully done this.Please help!
