As others have mentioned, the RDU Mesh organization
(https://rdumesh.org) is an excellent source. Some of you have heard me
piss and moan about trees and microwaves. Here's an excellent article
about the subject on the RDU mesh web site including what you can do
about it (summary: get your antenna high and if you can't get high
enough increase gain and signal to noise ratio as much as possible while
accepting that when it rains you are hosed):

And I found a site that is similar to RDU Mesh in the UK. They happen to
have a crackerjack programmer named Louis King who has been a very busy

the *_meshcore-mqtt_* repo: this may be very relevant to our orientation
toward using mesh with IOT. This repo is what I originally found and it
turned out to be the tip of an iceberg. I reviewed the issues and seeing
the first one being open since May bothered me, but after looking at all
of them I'm convinced the lack of recent activity is evidence of the
repo being finished and relatively bug free (I know it's an alien
concept these days, but in the old days you wrote code and finished it,
often with a very stable state of "no known bugs".) Check out issue #12
and Louis' use of AI. This may be alarming to some, passe to others. But
"Louis plus two AI agents" seems pretty potent.
