one dvdrw and cdrw was purchased this year.
the other cdrw and dvdrw are nor more than a year

How good/old/dusty are the CD/DVD drives? I've had problems with the generic
drives reading media consistently especially if they had been in service and
accumulate a little dust/debris in the works.
