any laptop you buy from office depot or best buy will likely be crap,
and not work well with linux. your best bet is to get an ibm EPP code
from someone in the lug (join the #trilug irc channel, we'll hook you
up) and get a thinkpad.

Office Depot has a special offer that ends today, which can also be
upgraded to an AMD Athlon 64 for another $75.
Does anyone know of any great online sources to recommend for a new
machine? The prices of laptops on eBay seem pretty high when you
compare them with the weekly special rebate offers from Office Depot or
Best Buy.
