First, try looking here for DOS friendly small Linux distros:

I've heard good things about Monkey Linux.

Agreed. As one of the so-so developers, I've always wanted to do a better
job on the documentation. Simple problem is time. We've got a start on the
documentation, but we need more time. Antonio, BTW, are you still around?

Trinux AG was basically an experiment. It was never meant to be a complete
(or even easy-to-use :) distro. Trinux is designed to be low-impact and
portable security toolkit. It doesn't contain all of the tools in the
universe (just hopefully the better ones). It also was not intended for
the "script-kiddie" either (no offense to anyone on the list). Trinux was
designed to be used by experienced Linux/Networking people with a
professional or studious interest in network security. However, MDF
(creator of Trinux) has always strived to make Trinux ultimately
accessible by all computer users who want to learn about network security
w/o making them trash an existing computer or struggle to learn how to
compile dozens of programs. Now, does this mean you can be a complete
Linux/Networking newbie to use Trinux? The answer is NO. If you are still
green to *NIX/Networking, try learning the basics first. Then come back to
Trinux when you're ready.
