I just realized there are two volume controls for me. I am still using a beta  
install, but it wasn't there until full release I don't think. Also, I am  
using the AWN wallpaper, and I don't see any new ones... May have to check  
the release iso for it.

I concur, the old volume control should have been removed and the indicator  
applet used, unless there is good reason. Perhaps it was a last minute  
oversight.
