If you just download the .deb file from the Ubuntu repository and install it  
manually, I'm pretty sure you won't get automatic updates.

On the other hand, if you add Ubuntu's multiverse repository, you'll get  
automatic updates, but it will make all of the proprietary software in that  
repository available for you on Trisquel.
