Hi, Trisquellers!
In the interest of going totally free (software app wise), I'm trying
SIP clients, instead of Skype, for voice chatting. I have Ekiga and
LinPhone installed. When using the echo test server on Ekiga, I hear
the greeting, but not myself. After 30 to 45 seconds, the call is
dropped, with a message about the remote end seeming to have dropped the
call. If I call, or get called by, a friend, the conversation seems to
work, but gets dropped within a minute. If, instead of my home network,
I use a public wifi spot, I can make SIP calls with no trouble, and
little latency.
an anyone suggest router setup that may allow me to make SIP audio/video
calls on my home network?
Thanks,
Dave
