I started from a Trisquel netinstall (Barebones + samba and SSH via Tasksel),
and installed the MATE Repos. From there, I followed these instructions:

The distro itself seems to work like this.

If Cryptfs (encryption software used in trisquel) is included in the Trisquel
base, it is in this. If not, I will try to include it in my next round.
I am glad there is interest.
Please be warned though that it should be considered alpha, maybe beta
status. I haven't been able to get it installed to HD because of the problem
above.
