[Trisquel-users] Will the Fn commands for laptops be fixed in Trisquel 6?

When I hold Fn and press F2 or F3 to alter screen brightness nothing happens.  
Also when I try to use Fn and alter the sound Trisquel 5.5 stops working  
completely. I cannot click icons or enter text after attempting to use the  
audio Fn shortcut at the top of my laptop's keyboard. Though Trisquel senses  
that I press the Fn commands by displaying graphical indications. Somewhere  
someone suggested downgrading a few packages but I don't know if this is a  
wise workaround.
