:) I guess you didn't read my lengthy post (heck- I wouldn't have either it was so long). The current maintainers of the code don't own the copyright. They can't change the license. They have tried to do this in the past and had to revert back because they don't own the copyright on the core software TrueCrypt is derived from.

It doesn't pass inspection by Debian and would almost certainly not pass inspection by the FSF either.
