It would be fastest, as mentioned above, to look at the log and then
removing the bad packages from the command line. But here is a GUI
method in case the packages didn't install correctly:

Open Synaptic (under System Settings), look on the left hand side for
"Custom Filters" and then select "Broken" for a list of bad packages and
remove them.
