First, thank you very much for your comments. Much appreciated =)However, I fail to see how copying /home/ directory would help me... I am not afraid people taking a look at my files (the first thing i do is install firewall, so there are still no files there), I worry about an attack that might compromise the system before I install firewall (and stays in the system afterwards).
I agree, GUFW is better.
