Well, I was able to use the "e" editing feature of GRUB to temporarily append
"acpi=off" to my Trisquel boot and get in. Resolution is still bad, but
everything else seemed to work. I could not, however, find anything named
"menu.lst" in the GRUB folder on any of my OS drives or the /boot partition.
I can't make the boot change permanent. But if I can't fix the resolution
problem, it won't matter much anyway.
